SRFC 1983 - Club Elections and First Home Game

NEWLY ELECTED OFFICERS AND DIRECTORS

On June 24th, the Springfield Rugby Club held its annual

General Meeting. Goals were outlined for the following year,

a Constitution was ratified and the following Officers and

Directors were elected:

The Springfield Rugby Club will hold their first home

game Saturday, March 12, at 2:00 p.m. at L.A. Wise Park. The club

will be playing host to the University of Missouri-Rolla. Admission

is free.

 

The Springfield Rugby Club, the most recent addition to

the Springfield athletic scene lost their season opener this past

Saturday 22-12 to Central MISSouri State at Warrensburg.

 

Despite their first loss, the SRC is still optimistic

about their remaining season.

 

The club, comprised of area men, ex-Sms Rugby players

and some who are new to the sport, have a schedule consisting of

6 games and one tournament.

L.A. Wise Park is located on West Nichols between Kansas

Expressway and the West bypass.

Those interested in participating in the sport or requesting
